Word that an Oklahoma City police officer was charged with nine felony sex crimes has spread to neighborhoods across his northeast Oklahoma City patrolling area.
Daniel Holtzclaw, 27, has worked in the department's Springlake Division since 2011.
At least seven women say Holtzclaw is responsible for violating them, and one claims she was raped.

Shakara Walker lives close to one of the blocks where investigators say Holtzclaw picked up one of his victims back in March.
Walker says she nearly became a victim of Holtzclaw last week.
“As I was walking to the house, he tried to grab me and make it seem like he was gonna rape me," Walker recalled.
Investigators have warned that there could be more than seven victims.
Holtzclaw is in the Oklahoma County jail on $5 million bond.
Update: On Saturday, the Oklahoma City police told News 9 they have been receiving several false complaints against Officer Daniel Holtzclaw. Police believe the information provided by Shakara Walker in this story to be false, because they say Holtzclaw has been on paid administrative leave for the last month.
