A traffic stop in Grady County led to a quite the discovery.
“It’s easy to miss those small baggies of methamphetamine,” Grady County Sheriff Jim Weir said.
They are especially easy to miss when they are hiding inside someone's underwear.
“When he was changing from his street clothes to the jail clothes it was discovered,” Weir said.
Also discovered was a glass pipe.
“Lots of times they’ll hide it in body cavities,” Weir said.
But not Shaun Dickson, he loaded down his undergarments, but lost his load on the jail floor. Court documents state he dropped a "glass pipe…used for smoking methamphetamine" and a bag of "white crystal substance" on the floor of the holding cell.
And it all started during a simple traffic stop. An officer pulled over the vehicle Dickson was riding in because of a faulty taillight and noticed Dickson was acting strangely and “moving around nervously.”
“Lo and behold he was wanted on just misdemeanor traffic warrants,” Weir said.
But now he is facing a serious felony. Dickson was charged with two counts including possession of a controlled dangerous substance.
