One person is in critical condition after an accident in northeast Oklahoma City, early Monday morning.
Emergency crews were called to the scene just before 5:30 a.m. on the southbound Broadway Ext. service road, north of BE 122nd St.
Police say a red Ford pickup slammed into the back of a big rig that was parked on the service road.
The driver of the pickup had a large boot on his foot, but police also had him in handcuffs. Police tell News 9 they believe that drugs or alcohol may have played a role in the crash.
A passenger in the pickup was critically injured and taken to a local hospital. The driver of the semi was not injured. Neither the people in the truck nor the driver of the semi has been identified at this time.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
