One woman is dead and male victim is injured after a stabbing in northwest Oklahoma City, Sunday afternoon.
Officers responded to a disturbance call at a home near the 100 block of northwest 27th St. around 7 p.m.
According to police the suspect stabbed a woman who was in the driver's seat of a vehicle near the home. A male passenger got out and tried to defend the woman and was stabbed as well.
An off-duty Choctaw Police Officer witnessed the crime and drew his weapon on the suspect. The suspect complied and was taken into custody.
Police say after being stabbed the woman tried to drive off. She was found at a gas station in the 200 block of NW 23rd St. where she was transported to a local hospital. She later died at the hospital from her injuries.
The identities of the victims are not known at this time and the condition of the male victim has not been released. The identity of the suspect is also unknown at this time.
Police are still investigating what led to the stabbing.
