The family of a man gunned down inside his grandmother's home is speaking out about the murder.

Norman Police arrested four men in connection with the killing. All four sit in jail on first-degree murder complaints.

Justin Barnard's father said the 24 year old left a voicemail for him just before the suspects broke in and shot him to death.

In that voicemail, which Marvin Barnard shared with us, Justin said, "Dad. I have a bunch of people trying to kill me. Get here, now."

That voicemail is the last thing Justin Barnard's family will ever hear from him.

"I don't know how to process it. You know, every time I close my eyes it's just him and me together in my dreams," said Josh Barnard, Justin's twin brother.

Barnard was murdered inside his grandmother's house in Norman Thursday night. His grandmother told News 9 that one of the suspects put a gun to her head twice, but did not pull the trigger. She said she was beaten by the suspects.

"I wished I could have been there. I don't know what I would have done, but I wish I could have been there to do something," said Marvin Barnard, Justin's father. "When I drove home I seen all the police cars up and down the street and that's when I walked up there and found out."

Norman Police arrested four men believed to be connected to the killing. Police believe the suspects are all connected to Barnard's girlfriend.

Barnard's twin brother Josh now tries to grip the reality that his brother won't be around to see his son grow up.

"He's my best friend. He was a good dad. You know, he was like a piece of me that I can't ever get back."

The family plans to hold a candlelight vigil to honor Justin Barnard on Sunday night at 8pm in front of the house he was killed in.
