Retired Staff Sgt. Rusty Dunagan has served as an inspiration since an IED in Afghanistan almost took his life in Sept. 2010. Now the local soldier is getting a big thank you for his service with the help of a Hollywood star.

Actor Gary Sinise is building the Dunagans a new home in Deer Creek.

"It's going to make my life a lot easier," says Dunagan, who lost his legs and left arm on Sept. 21, 2010.

Dunagan and his wife have five children, including a 4-month-old daughter.

"Our family is a team," says Dunagan.

The Gary Sinise Foundation has helped wounded vets all over the country. Both he and Dunagan have appeared at fundraisers together.

On March 11, Sinise will be in Oklahoma City for another fundraising event. Money raised will go to the Dunagans' handicap accessible home.

Construction on the house, which will set on five acres of land, is set to begin in late March.
