The suspect involved in a standoff with police has surrendered.

The standoff began after a high-speed chase in Shawnee. It ended after officers employed stop sticks, about three miles west of the Grand Casino.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers and Pottawatomie County Sheriff's deputies were also involved in the standoff.

The suspect's vehicle was stopped in the median, between westbound and eastbound I-40. It is still unclear why the chase began.
