Suspect Killed After Attempted Home Invasion In Deep Deuce

A suspected burglar is dead after attempting to break into the home of an off-duty OHP trooper in Deep Deuce, Friday night.

Investigators say the suspect was attempting to break into the home, located in the 200 block of NE 2nd Street when the off-duty trooper opened fire, critically wounding the suspect.

The suspect, who has not been identified, was transported to OU Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries. The trooper who shot the burglary suspect also has not been identified.

Oklahoma City Police were called to another shooting on the southeast side of the metro around the same time. The second shooting occurred at the One Shop store, located at 2922 SE 45^th St.

Police say the person in that shooting was shot in the finger. The identity of that victim is unknown. Both shootings are still under investigation.
