White filed a civil rights claim against the city after claiming Bruning, who is married to White's ex-wife, was stalking and harassing him. White is demanding $125,000 from the city.

On Monday, City Manager Sereniah Breland confirmed that Lt. Mark Bruning was officially fired by the city.

In a statement, Breland said she received a recommendation by Chief Devereaux for the termination.

The firing was also agreed upon by the Disciplinary Hearing Panel.
