Pottawatomie County authorities are on the lookout for a suspect who fled from police as they were attempting to serve a warrant, Friday afternoon.

According to the Pottawatomie County Sheriff's office, a warrant team was attempting to serve a warrant at a trailer park, located at Harrison Rd., when they received a call about a fire alarm in the same trailer park.

The team went over to check out the call when the suspect came out of the trailer, jumped in a car and attempted to run down three of the officers. Shots were fired by the police officer and the chase began.

The chase was very brief, only lasting a few minutes, before the suspect crashed into a fence at US Highway 9 and Skaggs City Rd., two miles east of Tecumseh.

The suspect then bailed out of the car and disappeared on foot. Officers are currently searching the area.

The only description given by the sheriff's office is that the suspect was wearing tan, camouflage pants and boots.
