Mom, Boyfriend Charged With Child Neglect In Death Of OKC Boy

Felony child neglect charges have been filed against a couple that left a 7-year-old boy home alone where he died in a house fire.

Prosecutors filed charges against Noemi Lopez and Antonio Guillen. Lopez is the mother of Adrian Avalos.

Adrian died in a house fire that authorities say was intentionally set during a burglary.

Police said Lopez and Guillen left the child alone so they could go to the bar.

Two other suspects accused of burglarizing the home and setting it on fire, Paulina Cruz and Julio Nevarez, have been charged with first-degree murder in Adrian's death.
