Oklahoma Baptist University is offering transitional housing to victims of Sunday's tornadoes while the Oklahoma Baptist Disaster Relief team is aiding victims with other needs.

OBU will open Agee Residence Center for those who have lost or sustained damage to their homes. Up to 350 beds are available.
Approximately 80 volunteers with the Oklahoma Baptist Disaster Relief team are currently on-the-ground helping victims. One mobile kitchen/feeding unit in Shawnee is preparing meals and sending them to all areas affected by the storms, including Edmond, Little Axe, Carney, Shawnee and Prague. Chainsaw teams in Edmond, Norman and Shawnee are helping residents clear trees. There are about 10 chaplains on the ground helping victims with emotional trauma.

Food also is being provided by the Oklahoma Baptist Disaster Relief team at the Expo Center from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 4:30 to 6 p.m.
To arrange housing at OBU, contact Michael Burns at 405-308-7336 or go to the front desk inside the south door of Agee Residence Center and ask for Burns or Jeremy Fisher, director of Agee Residence Center.
OBU prohibits alcohol, tobacco, drugs, gambling and weapons on campus. The university does not have accommodations for pets. The housing is available through May 29 when the rooms will need to be vacated for summer camp participants.
