An Oklahoma City congregation will have to renovate and rebuild some areas after a fire heavily damaged a church early Wednesday morning.
Firefighters were called at 2:30 a.m. after someone saw smoke coming from Grace Presbyterian Church at 11320 Council Road. When fire crews arrived, they saw heavy smoke and flames coming from the sanctuary.
Firefighters quickly put out the fire, but the sanctuary sustained significant damage, and the rest of the church received smoke damage.
Crews say the fire is suspicious, and investigators are still trying to find out how it started.
