A police standoff in Garvin County has ended after a suspect accused of killing a man was found dead inside a house.

Paoli police say they came to a home off Highway 77 and Highway 145 at about 11:30 a.m. Monday, where they found a young man dead on the ground. Police say another man believed to be the shooter barricaded himself inside the home.

Authorities on the scene have identified the man killed in Paoli as Noel Sanches-Gonzalez.

Police say the suspect, later identified as 58-year-old Antonio Elias Reynoso, was found dead inside the home in Paoli at about 4:30 p.m., following a nearly 5-hour long standoff. Authorities say no shots were fired by law enforcement officers on the scene.

Police believe the suspect died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Schools in that area were on lockdown as authorities worked the situation. However, students from those schools have been released to their parents.

OHP Trooper Betsy Randolph says the Garvin County Sheriff's Office asked for the OHP tactical team at about 11:45 a.m. Monday.
