Oklahoma was picked first and Oklahoma State was picked to finish fifth in the 2013 Big 12 Conference baseball standings in a preseason vote of the league's head coaches.
OSU was picked to finish sixth in both 2011 and 2012 but finished fifth a year ago and fourth in '11. The Cowboys are coming off a 32-25 campaign in which they were 13-11 in Big 12 play.
Oklahoma is the coaches' choice to win the nine-team league in 2013, with the Sooners garnering six of the nine first-place votes. TCU, who received three first-place votes, is second, followed by Texas and Baylor. Since 1999, the preseason favorite to win the conference title has done so five times.
Coaches are not permitted to vote for their own team in the poll.
