Martinez had a long criminal history. According to the Oklahoma Department of Corrections website, Martinez had convictions for burglary, robbery, kidnapping, and assault and battery.

Neighbors told News 9 although they live in a quiet neighborhood, the house where Martinez was killed had been a source of problems since the current residents moved in about three years ago. Police confirmed they've been called to the house 20 times.

Police do not have any suspects in the shooting. They are asking anyone with information about the crime to call the Homicide Tip Line at (405) 297-1200.
