A German Shepherd was critically injured after he was thrown off a bridge in Oklahoma City on Wednesday. Authorities are now looking for the person who is responsible for the crime.

According to the Oklahoma County Sheriff's Office, the dog was thrown from a bridge on S.E. 59th Street down to Interstate 40.

The dog was identified through a tag on his collar as "Rookie." Deputies say he is in critical condition with several injuries, including an open fracture on his rear left leg.

The pup is also suffering from internal bleeding, authorities said.
