Murder Charges Filed Against Persons of Interest In Disappearance Of Teen

Two men considered persons of interest in the disappearance of a Weatherford teen have been charged with murder in the shooting death of an Oklahoma City man.

Police found 23-year-old Jonathan Patton's body inside a home near S.E. 134th and Choctaw Road in Oklahoma City on September 10. A witness told police the suspects, Gilberto Paz and Kurtis Southerland, went to a home near S.E. 134 and Choctaw to rob the homeowner, but wound up shooting and killing Patton instead.

Another victim, 22-year-old Chad Martin, was injured during the robbery.

On Friday, Paz and Southerland were charged with felony murder during commission of robbery and shooting with intent to kill. Another suspect in Patton's death, 25-year-old Stacy Buckmaster, has been charged with felony murder during commission of robbery.

All three suspects are currently in the Custer County Jail.

Both Paz and Southerland are considered persons of interest in JaRay Wilson's disappearance. Wilson has been missing since October 14. Authorities say she may have been sold into human trafficking and may be in danger.
