Oklahoma State's Josh Stewart and Justin Gilbert were both honored by the Big 12 after their performances in OSU's win over West Virginia. Stewart was recognized as the Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week and Gilbert was tabbed as the Big 12 Special Teams Player of the Week.
Stewart had a 46-yard touchdown run, along with touchdown catches of 21 and 20 yards. His receiving day featured 13 catches covering 172 yards. It was the second time in four outings that Stewart recorded 13 catches in a game. His performance was also the second-highest single-game catch total in OSU history and his 172 receiving yards rank 20th.
Gilbert had a 96-yard kickoff return for a touchdown. He set a school record and tied a Big 12 mark with the fifth kickoff return for a score in his career. Gilbert's five scores rank second among all active NCAA players. He also had a 31-yard return in his only other effort against the Mountaineers.
Gilbert has been honored as Big 12 Special Teams Player of the Week one time in each of his three seasons at Oklahoma State, while the recognition is the first of Stewart's career.
