Police arrested Sunday two men accused of killing a woman during a car burglary in northwest Oklahoma City.
Police arrested 26-year-old Brandon Bates and 32-year-old Brian Cook for first-degree murder in the shooting death of 51-year-old Lorinda Frans. Police say Frans and her husband were walking to their car Friday near N.W. 15th Street and Marion Avenue when they found Bates and Cook near the vehicle. The two suspects were reportedly trying to break into the car.

Police say when Frans confronted the men, one of them pulled out a gun and shot her. She was rushed to OU Medical Center, where she died.
Police used witness descriptions to identify Bates and Cook as suspects. Investigators located them Sunday afternoon at 113 Barbour Street in Moore. They were booked into the Oklahoma County jail on one complaint each of first-degree murder. Bates was also wanted for a warrant out of Cleveland County, and Cook was wanted for warrant out of Mayes County.
