Firefighters rushed to a house in Edmond twice Sunday night to extinguish a stubborn fire.
The fire first sparked shortly before 10 p.m. at a home on Ridgecrest Road near Bryant. Firefighters extinguished the flames, but were called out again to the same home around 1 a.m. Monday when the fire rekindled.
Neighbors say they heard several small explosions coming from the home during the first fire. Edmond firefighters say the blaze was difficult to fight. It ruptured a gas line, which continued to feed the fire.
No one was hurt, but the fire caused about $200,000 worth of damage to the house. Investigators are trying to determine what started the fire. They say it appears the flames started in the garage.
