Firefighters have contained a grass fire burning near Will Rogers World Airport in Oklahoma City.
The fire began just after 11 a.m. in an industrial area near Airport Road and Meridian about one-half mile northwest of the airport. The flames scorched a large patch of land between a parking lot, several buildings and train tracks.
Firefighters were concerned because one of those buildings housed a large stock of lithium batteries. They were able to extinguish the flames before they reached any structures.
The Oklahoma City Fire Department briefly evacuated nearby businesses and redirected traffic while they fought the fire.
It's not known how the fire started. No one was hurt.
