OKLAHOMA CITY - Friday was a bizarre day of discoveries for Oklahoma City Police. In a span of five hours, three different residents from three different areas of the city called police, and said they had found Grenades.

The first call came in just after two in the afternoon.  South Oklahoma City resident Joe Patterson told police he found what looked like grenade in his backyard.

Police called in the bomb squad and Patterson's block was evacuated. Eventually the bomb squad hauled the suspected grenade away and detonated it.  Police later realized it was some sort of World War II era munitions device.

Later in the day police were called to two other residences where people thought they had found grenades. Police say both of those devices turned out to be fake.

Police Captain Wade Gourley says they have to take all of these types of calls seriously because they can be "potentially dangerous."
