A convicted felon is behind bars after Oklahoma County Sheriff's deputies discovered a cache of weapons at his home in Oklahoma City.
Authorities said Lloyd O'Hagan, 52, was arrested Wednesday after an extensive investigation. According to the Sheriff's Office, investigators received a tip that O'Hagan was storing weapons and possibly dealing drugs at his home, located in the 10000 block of Moccasin Lane.
Deputies surrounded O'Hagan's home after they obtained a search warrant. O'Hagan surrendered after deputies fired several rounds of pepper spray into the house.
According to the Sheriff's Office, authorities found 14 firearms, including a stolen one, 869 live rounds of ammunition, a police scanner that was broadcasting the Oklahoma County Sheriff's Office's frequency, and security cameras.
"I want to thank the brave citizen who came forward with a simple tip which led to this arrest", said Oklahoma County Sheriff John Whetsel. "I would encourage more citizens to get involved and report suspicious criminal activity".
O'Hagan is now being held in the Oklahoma County Detention Center on complaints of possession of stolen property, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of security equipment in the commission of a felony, and five counts of possession of a firearm after a former felony conviction.
O'Hagan has a long criminal history with previous convictions for drug charges, firearm charges, and a conviction for possession of a stolen vehicle, according to the sheriff's office.
