Two Airmen Killed In High Speed Oklahoma City Wreck

Two airmen are dead after crashing into a bridge embankment on Interstate 235 in Oklahoma City Monday morning.

Police say a driver traveling at a high rate of speed crashed into a bridge embankment on Interstate 235 in Oklahoma City Monday morning. Two people are dead.

News 9 has confirmed that both men were Airmen in the U.S. military.

Oklahoma City police worked the double fatality wreck that took place at about 3:30 a.m. Interstate 235 northbound from N.W. 36th Street to the Interstate 44 interchange was closed as emergency personnel investigated the collision.

Police say the driver was traveling at a high rate of speed in a Honda S2000-2 sports car, lost control and hit a bridge embankment.

No names have been released.
