Ada Police Investigate Man's Death Following Visit To Chiropractor

ADA, Oklahoma -- An Ada man died two days after receiving routine treatment at a chiropractor's office.

Ada police are investigating the chain of events that started with 30-year old Jeremy Youngblood's visit to the Power Clinic of Chiropractic in Ada, and ended with his death.

Youngblood went to the chiropractor for what police say was a routine procedure. The Oklahoma Medical Examiner ruled his death an accident, saying it was caused by type of stroke from manipulation to the neck.

"He became ill while there," said Det. Kathi Johnston with the Ada Police Department. "His father picked him up and transported him to Valley View Hospital here in Ada, where he was later sent to Mercy in Oklahoma City."

Youngblood's family has hired an attorney to investigate their son's death. They anticipate filing a medical malpractice case.
