UNDATED -- Oklahoma County Sheriff's Deputies are eager to take your order Tuesday at the Old Chicago Restaurant, 7301 SE 29 in Midwest City.
Proceeds from the Tip-A-Cop benefit will go to help the recovery of Major John Waldenville who was shot as he worked off-duty on May 21, 2011.
Waldenville was making a bank deposit in his security job for the historic restaurant when he was shot once in the head, just above the right eye.
The two men believed to have committed the crime, 18-year-old Keonta Prince and 29-year-old Christopher Baker, were both arrested within two days after the shooting.
You can help this veteran law enforcement officer by eating at the Old Chicago Restaurant located in the Towne Center Shopping Center, east of Air Depot on SE 29. Deputies will wait on customers from 6 to 9 p.m., and tips will go to benefit Major Waldenville.
A fundraising golf tournament is planned for June 27 at the Silverhorn Golf Club with all proceeds donated to help with Waldenville's expenses. Player donation is a minimum of $100.
There will also be a silent auction.
