High Speed Pursuit Ends In Crash, Arrest In Del City

DEL CITY, Oklahoma -- Oklahoma City police were led on a high speed chase that ended with a crash at S.E. 15th Street and Sooner Road in Del City. Speeds topped 100 mph before an OCPD supervisor told officers to call off the pursuit.

Air One, the OKC police helicopter, picked up the pursuit and tracked the vehicle after the ground units backed off. The suspect vehicle ran another stoplight and crashed into a van before going into a roll.

Lt. Don Holland, with the Oklahoma City Police Department, said the fleeing suspect was wanted on felony warrants. The man was taken into custody, and no one was injured in the wreck.
