Norman Police Search for Rape Suspect

Norman police are requesting the public's assistance to help locate and arrest a fugitive wanted in connection with an alleged first-degree rape of an 11-year-old in Norman.

NORMAN, Oklahoma – Norman police are requesting the public's assistance to help locate and arrest a fugitive wanted in connection with an alleged first-degree rape of an 11-year-old in Norman.

Recent information indicates that 44-year-old Lonnie R. Correll may have been seen in Midwest City, OK.

Correll is described as a white male, 5 foot 3 inches tall, weighing about 125 pounds, with blonde hair and green eyes. His hair is described as long and straight. He has a thin build, and sometimes wears reading glasses.

Correll is thought to be driving a black 1999 Mitsubishi sport utility vehicle with a luggage rack and has slight damage to the front, right fender. The vehicle has Oklahoma tags: 422-APD.

Anyone with information pertaining to Correll's whereabouts should contact either Norman Police Detective John Stege at 321-1600, Norman Crime Stoppers at 366-7867 or their local police department.
