OKLAHOMA CITY – The police bomb squad was called Wednesday night to investigate a suspicious package at a downtown Oklahoma City church.
Police were called to the First United Methodist Church, across from the Oklahoma City National Memorial, at about 10 p.m. Thursday. A federal building security officer called in the threat.
Police blocked off the roads in the area while the bomb squad x-rayed the box. The box was empty and police cleared the scene shortly after 1 a.m.
