ANGEL CANYON, Utah -- We flew out of Oklahoma City at 8 a.m. Monday, landed in Las Vegas, drove through Nevada and Arizona to Utah. We went through Zion National Park, amazing! We got to Best Friends in the afternoon. This place is peaceful and beautiful. One of the first stops was to Angel's Rest, the cemetery/memorial site. I said a prayer for Nick.
Our cottages face a sheer face of canyon wall but the back is the horse area. There is a Clydesdale named Clyde that was rescued.
I went nuts snapping pictures, nice thing about digital, you are not wasting film. We are getting ready to go on the planned tour, and then I will be at the Cat Center for the morning. I will be visiting some of the Michael Vick dogs later today or tomorrow. They have now been dispersed throughout the sanctuary and no longer just kept in one facility.
This is an extraordinary place.
I am working on finding someone to sit down with me and let me get a Flip cam interview with a Vick-tory dog as they refer to them here.

The one I want to see the most is Georgia. Michael Vick actually got a vet to pull all Georgia's teeth out...a vet did it at his request. The belief is that this was done to allow her to be bred without fighting back and possible as a sparring dog, so she could have no recourse to fight back...sad, sad, sad...but she is a great dog still full of love and I can't wait to meet her.
