OKLAHOMA CITY - An Oklahoma man and his daughter want to return a camera packed with pictures. They found the collection of lost memories and hope to track down the family.
It's said a picture can speak a thousand words, and for Rita Haworth, she's hoping the pictures speak to whoever took them.
"Just want to do the right thing," Hayworth said.
Haworth's father found the pictures in a red bag outside the town of Sayre right along exit 23. Inside the bag was a Kodak digital camera filled with pictures.
"I looked at it and said maybe we could find the owner; went through all the pictures to see if we could indentify someone, couldn't, so I called you all," Haworth said.
Now, NEWS 9 IS calling on viewers, hoping anyone watching can identify who is in these pictures.
Even though Hayworth isn't able to identify anyone, she does have a good idea of what the people in the pictures are like.
"They look happy, proud of their kids, really proud of them kids," Haworth said. "Most of the pictures are of the children and most of them are the family."
Some of the pictures did turn up some clues, but unfortunately no answers.
One picture showed the company Chee North Star LLC, a business in a town near Tucson, Arizona. NEWS 9 tried calling the company, but the calls haven't been returned. NEWS 9 also got the serial number off the camera, but the camera isn't registered.
"If it was me, I would want my pictures," Haworth said. "We moved one time and I couldn't find my pics and I was devastated."
Other items were also found and the bag and they need to get back to their owner. If you recognize anyone in those photos or have any information about the lost camera, call NEWS 9 at 843-6641.
