TULSA, Okla. -- Shawn Jackson is a quarterback and linebacker. He's not your typical one-man show.
"It's kind of an odd combination," said McLain football coach Danny Daniels. "He has good size, throws the ball well and is awful deceiving when he's running. Defensively, he's real smart and knows where the ball's at."
The 6-foot, 240 pound senior is being courted by Big 12 and SEC schools to play linebacker and knows a big season means scholarship offers.
"I'm a senior and I feel like I have to put the whole team on my back," Jackson said.
It's something that Jackson's accustomed to. Coming off a 4-and-6 season, the goal for McLain's main man: make the playoffs.
"It'd be real big," Jackson said. "I plan on working hard throughout the season and getting better."
