TULSA, Okla. -- Booker T. Washington senior Michael Doctor has the prescription for the 2008 season.
"The offense is explosive and we have a lot of really good talent," Doctor said. "We should score at least 40 points per game. The defense has a lot of returning starters so we should be full of talent. So we should be pretty good."
After losing in the first round of the 6A playoffs last season, the Hornets move down to 5A - but the dose of competition is expected to be just as good.
"This team has played against quality 6A competition the last two years," said Hornets coach Antwain Jimmerson. "I think that's only going to help them down the road."
And being back in 5A - the bullseye - is again on Booker T.
"We enjoy have the target on our chest," said cornerback Justin Skillens. "It gives us something to work for to keep that standard up there the Booker T. has always had."
"We've been working so hard for so long and now it's our time to bust out," said BTW defensive end Ray Stovall.
