Officials say one person is dead and three are injured after a crash in Muskogee County Friday afternoon. An 83-year-old man was killed and two children were among the injured, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
The crash happened around 4 p.m. Friday on Highway 2 south of Warner.
Troopers said Ernest Kazmir, 83, of Porum was pronounced dead at the scene. He was driving a 1991 Cadillac Deville, a collision report states.
Timothy Wood was driving a 2016 Cadillac SRX. The 42-year-old Porum man had 1-year-old and 11-year-old kids in the vehicle. The 11-year-old was admitted to a Tulsa hospital with head and internal injuries. That child is said to be stable.
OHP said the toddler was treated and released from a Tulsa hospital.
Laura Wood, 31, was also a passenger in Wood's car. She was admitted to a Tulsa hospital with internal injuries. Her condition is not listed in the report.
News On 6 Storm Tracker J.D. McManus was on the scene and said the wreck happened during heavy rains.
The OHP collision report does not give any information about the wreck other than to say it is under investigation and that Timothy Wood was in apparently normal condition before the wreck.
Kazmir's condition before the wreck is listed as "unknown/under investigation." He was not wearing a seat belt, the investigating trooper reports. Everyone else was belted in.
