1 Arrested After Tulsa Carjacking, High-Speed Chase

Tulsa police arrested a man accused of carjacking two people and then leading officers on a high-speed chase.

1 Arrested After Tulsa Carjacking, High-Speed Chase

A Tulsa man is in jail accused of carjacking two people and leading officers on a high-speed chase.

Officers said they found Daniel Freeland hiding in a Tulsa neighborhood. Police said Freeland pointed a gun at two people and stole their jeep near 31st and Memorial Wednesday night.

When officers saw the stolen Jeep, they said Freeland took off, going 100 miles per hour on city streets, running red lights and stop signs before getting away.

Officers said it was actually one of Freeland's family members who told them where he was and police found him.

"When they did so, they round a corner and they located the subject hiding in the bushes on the front porch about two houses down from the address we had responded to," said Captain Malcolm Wightman.

Officers said they found a gun, pills, meth, heroin and needless they say belonged to Freeland.
