He's in Tulsa for a special appearance, speaking at Oral Roberts University's President's Performing Arts and Lecture Series. Consolmagno is a scientist with training in meteorites and asteroids, but his current mission is helping the public understand earth and planetary sciences as well as the interplay of faith and science.
He's also the author of several books including The Heavens Proclaim: Astronomy and the Vatican, The Way to the Dwelling Light, and Turn Left at Orion.
You can hear him speak at 7 p.m. Tuesday, January 22 at the Global Learning Center at ORU. The event is free and open to the public.
Though the event is free, you need to get tickets at the Mabee Center or call 918-495-6000.
