The firefighters at station 27 say it's one of the busiest in the city, thankfully they had time to show Brenly Young around, and give her a day on the job she'll never forget.

Her smile said it all as she sits up front for a special ride around town. She wore her very own Tulsa Fire helmet and even got to spray water with a hose.

The six-year-old has autism and epilepsy. Brenly's mom asked her Facebook friends earlier this month to help lift Brenly's spirits by sending her firefighter t-shirts so she could wear a different one each day.

She has shirts from coast to coast. Shirts came in from Alaska, Massachusetts, Texas, California and now, Tulsa.

"I'd like to thank America. Because she's gotten support from all over, and it's been fantastic," said her father Colt Young.

But the collection is growing far beyond a new wardrobe. A woman in Depew sent Brenly a quilt made in the 80s featuring firefighter patches from departments all across Oklahoma.

Brenly's dad is a Hulbert firefighter and one of the reasons she's so passionate about becoming one.

"To me, it's great just to see that she wants to help people," said Colt Young.

And firefighters say this day spent on the job certainly won't be her last.

"Anytime she wants to come by she's always welcome here," said TFD Captain Nick Gillespie.
