Tulsa Man Charged With Child Neglect After Police Find Filthy Home

Tulsa Man Charged With Child Neglect After Police Find Filthy Home

Prosecutors charge a Tulsa man with child neglect after police found his home lacked running water and urine and feces was scattered throughout the home.

52-year-old Wayne Allen was arrested Monday and booked into the Tulsa County jail.

According to court documents, police were alerted by several children and when officers went to the home, they found buckets throughout Allen's home that were being used for toilets. Officers say the home smelled so bad, it was difficult to walk through the home.

Initially, Allen told police that the water had been off for just a couple of weeks, but when officers pressed him, he told them it had been several months.

An investigation into complaints involving possible sexual abuse continues. At this point, Allen is only charged with one count of child neglect.

Jail records show Wayne Allen has court appearance set for September 24th.
