Police arrest a man after he hit an officer Sunday afternoon and barricaded himself in his Tulsa home.

Officers tell the News On 6, 41-year-old Robert Blake was threatening his neighbors with a tire iron.

When police arrived at the home in the 2500 block of North Peoria, Blake got in a fight with an officer and punched him in the face.

"He did engage in a little bit of conversation with the officer briefly, before he decided he was done with the conversation, started getting assaultive and went into the house," said Tulsa Police Cpl. Jack Ritter.

Police tried to coax Blake out of the house  for an hour and half before they used pepperballs.  It wasn't until officers went to force their way in the front door that Blake surrendered to police.
