Two people were killed Monday in a crash near Locust Grove.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol Troopers said they responded to a three-vehicle crash just after 8:30 a.m. on Highway 82, just south of the Mayes/Cherokee county line.

Trooper Colby Overstreet said an SUV going south hit a second SUV and a passenger vehicle going north.

An adult man and an adult woman were killed, Overstreet said. They've been identified as 27-year-old Cody Vernon Harvey of Peggs and 46-year-old Lana Leann Snyder of Tahlequah.

The crash closed about a mile stretch of Highway 82 while troopers investigated.

A collision report states Harvey was driving a Ford Expedition southbound when he crossed over the center line for an unknown reason. He hit two northbound vehicles - running into Snyder's Chevy Camaro head-on.

The other SUV was damaged but the driver wasn't injured.

The wreck is under investigation.
