Terence Crutcher Memorial Gala Held Saturday At Jazz Hall Of Fame

The Terence Crutcher Foundation will hold its inaugural memorial gala starting at 6 p.m. Saturday, September 16 at the Oklahoma Jazz Hall of Fame. "From Pain To Purpose" commemorates the one-year anniversary of Crutcher's death.

He was shot and killed by former Tulsa Police Officer Betty Shelby who was found not guilty of manslaughter in his death. 

His twin sister, Dr. Tiffany Crutcher, appeared on News On 6 at Noon to discuss the gala and the foundation set up to honor her brother. Civil Rights Attorney Ben Crump will emcee the event, and Sherrilyn Ifill of the NAACP Legal Defense and Education Fund, Inc. will be keynote speak.
