Tulsa police are helping public schools make it through the school year with diminished budgets.
Wal-Mart donated school supplies to the Christian Ministers Alliance in Tulsa.
The alliance needed help delivering all those supplies, so they called in some backup.
Officers said it's great to help schools during a time when funding is hard to come by.
"Everybody knows that we are having something of a funding crisis in Oklahoma education right now. This is a way to help the schools make ends meet while they're having some financial difficulties," said Tulsa Police Sergeant Malcolm Wightman.
TPD plans to deliver supplies to most of the schools in the Tulsa district.
