Owasso Police took a man and woman into custody after they say one was caught shoplifting at the Best Buy. Store personnel called OPD after they stopped Amanda Parson from leaving with stolen electronic items in her purse, according to an arrest report.

Police said she resisted arrest, but they got her into cuffs. They then checked the car she was trying to get to and smelled a strong odor of marijuana, the arresting officer said.

Police said Odis Ray McCormack was waiting in the car with a 1-year-old child, pot, pills and a baggie of methamphetamine. The child was taken into DHS custody and given to a relative.

Parson, 28, was booked into jail on several complaints including child endangerment, possession of a controlled drug within 1,000 feet of school or park, larceny from a retailer, resisting arrest and possession of drug paraphernalia.

McCormack, 22, was arrested for child endangerment and possession of a controlled drug within 1,000 feet of a school or park.
