Fire destroyed the home of an Oktaha firefighter early Tuesday morning.

The Oktaha Fire Department says the home caught fire Monday afternoon when no one was at home. The fire rekindled on the morning of Tuesday, December 13, 2016, and burned one end of the home to the ground.

The volunteer fire department says the owner of the home, firefighter Mike Grace, and his wife have three children under the age of 11 and are expecting a fourth.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

The department will be holding a pancake breakfast to benefit the family on Saturday, December 17, 2016, from 7 a.m. until 11 a.m. at the Eazy Mart at the Oktaha exit off Highway 69 just south of Muskogee.
