Christmas Parade Season Kicks Off In Green Country

<p>Some towns held their parades the weekend after Thanksgiving, but many will begin this week and you'll see some familiar faces from the News On 6 appearing in several Green Country Christmas parades.</p>

Cold weather, twinkling lights, Christmas-themed floats and marching bands playing holiday music can only mean one thing - it's Christmas parade time in Oklahoma. 

Some towns held their parades the weekend after Thanksgiving, but many will begin this week and you'll see some familiar faces from the News On 6 appearing in several Green Country Christmas parades. 

Thursday, December 1: 

6:30 p.m.: McAlester Downtown Christmas - Darren Stephens

7 p.m.: Wagoner Hometown Christmas - Craig Day

Friday, December 2: 
7 p.m.: Sand Springs Festival of Lights - Lori Fullbright, Scott Thompson and Darren Stephens

Saturday, December 3: 
10 a.m.: Broken Arrow Civitan Christmas Parade - LeAnne Taylor, Travis Meyer, Stacia Knight, Wendell Neal and Von Castor

10:30 a.m.: Bixby Annual Christmas Parade - Alan Crone and Darren Stephens

2 p.m.: Glenpool Christmas Parade - Lori Fullbright, Travis Meyer, Michael Grogan and Wendell Neal

4 p.m.: Checotah Christmas Parade - Darren Stephens

5:30 p.m.: Bartlesville Christmas Parade - Wendell Neal and Stacia Knight

Friday, December 9:
6 p.m.: Tahlequah Christmas Parade of Lights - Wendell Neal

Saturday, December 10: 
9 a.m.: Owasso Christmas Parade - Travis Meyer, Stacia Knight and Wendell Neal

11 a.m.: Collinsville Christmas Parade - Craig Day, Travis Meyer, Stacia Knight and Wendell Neal

2 p.m.: Catoosa Christmas Parade - Travis Meyer, Parade Marshal

5 p.m.: Downtown Muskogee Christmas Parade - Von Castor, Darren Stephens

6 p.m.: Tulsa Christmas Parade - Craig Day, Meagan Farley, Terry Hood, Alan Crone, Travis Meyer, Mike Grogan and Stacia Knight 

6 p.m.: Claremore Star-Spangled Christmas Parade - Stephen Nehrenz and Darren Stephens

Tuesday, December 13:
7 p.m.: Okay Christmas Parade

Thursday, December 15: 
7 p.m.: Okmulgee Festival of Lights - Von Castor and Dick Faurot

Saturday, December 17: 
6 p.m.: Haskell Lighted Christmas Parade - Wendell Neal
