Lots of kids dream of becoming fire fighters. Monday, 27 cadets will have that dream come true, but they have to work for it.
A new Tulsa Fire Academy class began Monday; Fire Chief Ray Driskell said over the next five months they will be exposed to as much realistic training as they can get.
"We'll expose them here at the new training center to some things - very high temperature and very high stressful situations that they will experience out in the field. It's a controlled environment but it's as close as we can get to the real thing", he said.
