Tulsa Police are requesting the public's assistance in identifying a person of interest in the murder investigation of a man who was shot in the early morning hours of October 2, 2016, at a Tulsa car wash.

Norman Huntley, 42, was shot several times during a fight at the car wash at 5941 East 11th Street, TPD said.

Huntley died the following day from his injuries.

Huntley was working security at the Route 66 Event Center when a fight broke out inside the club over a stolen backpack, police said.

The fight escalated and moved outside to the parking lot then moved over to the adjacent car wash as Huntley and patrons of the club attempted to get the backpack back, police said.

A large fight involving at least four people broke out, and in that time, Huntley was shot several times.

The shooter ran and got into a waiting car, police said.

The suspect is described as a black male, about 5'8, between 160-180 pounds and between 20-30 years old.

Police are asking people to call the homicide tip line at 918-798 -8477 or Crime Stoppers at 918-596-COPS or to email homicide@cityoftulsa.org if they have any information about the person of interest.
