Tulsa County Sheriff's Office have arrested four men in the murder of Terrel Smith. Smith's body was found in an SUV in the 6100 block of Martin Luther King Boulevard on September 11, 2016.
Smith, 41, had been reported missing September 9.
Spokesperson Casey Roebuck said Gary Wayne Wilson, Anthony Edgar Minnifield, Michael Lee Bossert and Herschell Noria Boyd were taken into custody Friday morning.
Arrest reports said TCSO detectives were led to the suspects through Smith's cell phone records. The arresting officer said one of the men admitted that they lured Smith to a home in the 500 block of East 61st Street North.
Bossert told officers Gary Wilson shot Smith at close range with a shogun then they bagged the weapon and hid it on the property, according to police. Authorities said Boyd told them the SUV was hidden in a barn then moved to another location the next night.

The body had been there for some time, according to TCSO. Deputies weren't sure if Smith was killed at that location or if the body had been taken there. He was found in the passenger seat and had been shot.
A woman out walking spotted the SUV and called authorities.
