The Oklahoma State School Board Association has released a report projecting how much money each district would get if State Question 779 passes in November. OSSBA says the ballot question, also known as the penny sales tax, would raise over $25 million for Tulsa Public Schools.

Broken Arrow's cut would be about $11 million, Union almost $10 million and Jenks close to $7 million.

The OSSBA has endorsed the State Question, and says money will go toward teacher pay raises, recruitment and academic initiatives.

Opponents say this will hike Oklahoma's sales tax to one of the highest in the nation.
